Just thought I would give you a little update on what’s new at DMB.
The Boat Show was fabulous! Thank you to all our new customers and the faithful who made the Boat Show a happy and busy time – we did meet a couple of undesirables but we don’t think they will be back!
Bonfire night is the next biggy for us and hopefully just like our first Bonfire night it will be blinding. We will have food and soup and beer outside, served from our purpose-built bar now complete with a groovy gazebo. As you well know, Christmas is looming but we are ready and have started making this year’s dec’s, Father Christmas is booked for Sunday 18th December and we kick it all off with our craft and vintage fair booked for the 13th November so come along and buy some gifts for your nearest and dearest.
We do have some spaces left in December so if you haven’t yet booked your Christmas party speak to us – we will have eating, drinking, laughing and all sorts of unusual shapes being thrown around our dance floor. We will close Christmas Day and Boxing Day to give all our teams time with their loved ones so make sure you put our own beer cans on your Christmas wish lists – we don’t want you to go without over the Christmas period.
Talking of cans – we have re-jigged our labels and think they are very groovy – what do you think?
So – what’s new in the brewery? I won’t say too much as I know the Brewery Boys wanna shout about their new toy – our new fermenter is in and looking all shiny. This is going to give us about 20% more beer for you to sup so bring your friends and come task our newest additions. Oh – and we got ourselves another award – 2nd place at Alton Beer Fest with our Big Casino – we currently have Little Casinoat 7.5% on keg – tried it yet? I love it but it stops my arms and legs working so I have to pace myself.
Other news – we have a fab new Chef starting in a few weeks and once he has been installed he will be creating a brand-new menu for early Feb – just in time for Valentine’s Day and our Wedding fair. Also, we have blocked out a load of dates next year where we plan to showcase our beers, the food and our beautiful building so keep ‘em peeled and check our website for details of what’s coming next.
New Years Eve will be great – no fancy dress, no expensive tickets just a good old fashioned night in our Brewhouse. Food will be available – menu will be released soon and our fine beer will be available to make it a proper ‘P up in a brewery’ night. Details – when we have finished making them up – will magically appear on our website shortly.
And as for our fabulous building , you may have seen the furniture changing every now and then, a beautiful new table and benches are going in where our ‘shop’ (let’s face it, it was a junk cupboard) used to be. If you have a special ‘do’ you would like to celebrate with us, we can sit you at the new table in your own little VIP area.
What’s that I hear you ask? Yes Mr Watson is about to Tweet. . . He has had a bit of trouble with the technical side of things but is now keen to get started. Please follow him – Mr Watson @OurMrWatson – he is an amusing little person who has much to say. His fan base is growing and his private Face Book page will go live next week.
